What we do
We want you to see at a glance what day it is, when the next day off falls or which week you are in. That is why we keep our pages clear, quick to load and easy to use on your phone.
All information on Bank Holidays UK is free to access. You do not need an account and we will never ask you to pay.
Where our data comes from
We calculate bank holidays and week numbers ourselves, using the statutory rules and the international standard ISO 8601. School holidays are taken from official publications by governments, local authorities and school boards. Every date can be traced back to its source.
You can read how we calculate, check and update our dates on the page about our data.
Independent
Bank Holidays UK is not a government website and is not affiliated with any government department, local authority or school. Official decisions always take precedence. If you are unsure about a date that matters to you, please check it with your school, employer or the official source.
How the site is funded
We keep the site free by showing adverts. Adverts appear in fixed places and have no influence on the content. You will only see personalised adverts if you agree to them; see our cookie policy.
